‘In response to recent industry grievances and issues related to Sapangar Port highlighted in the media, the SLC will be conducting a series of urgent meetings and consultations with key stakeholders,’ it said.

‘The discussions aim to develop and implement strategies that enhance the efficiency and capacity of our port infrastructure. By improving logistics operations, we aim to facilitate smoother trade flows and bolster the economic vitality of Sabah,’ it said.

SLC said it is dedicated to not only addressing these immediate concerns but also developing sustainable, long-t
erm solutions.

The SLC is under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Works Sabah and chaired by its minister, Datuk Shahelmey Yahya.

It comprises council members from both the public and private sectors, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to problem-solving.
