Tourism Stakeholders Urged To Elevate Success Of VM 2026 Campaign

KANGAR, The Regent of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail called upon all tourism stakeholders to elevate their efforts to ensure the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM 2026) campaign becomes a great success.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said this initiative was crucial to maximize Malaysia’s economy and establish the country as a premier tourism destination globally.

“With the commencement of Visit Perlis Year 2024-2025, we embark upon a momentous journey, marking the initial step towards Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” the Regent said.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said this in his speech when launching the Conference on the Proposed Asean China Heritage Dimension of National Arts (DNA) Initiative 2024 here tonight.

Also present was Raja Puan Muda Perlis Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli and Deputy Chief Secretary (Management) Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot were also present.

was with profound pleasure and pride that he placed the responsibility to unfold the land of serene beauty and hidden wonders, nestled in the northern region of Malaysia, namely Perlis, into the capable hands of Asean China Heritage DNA.

“Do venture into the heart of Perlis to discover the captivating beauty of Perlis by visiting Colourful Fishing Villages in Seberang Ramai Kuala Perlis, The Marhum Kota Kayang Museum, Batik Inderawasih and enjoy a huge range of delicious Perlis delicasies available at our many wonderful restaurants and cafes,” he said.

The Conference on the Proposed Asean China Heritage DNA Initiative 2024 scheduled from Sept 8 until Sept 14 here involves the participation of Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Brunei, Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore and China.
