Youths Urged To Be Agents Of Change To Foster Unity – Aaron

KUALA LUMPUR, As the nation celebrates its 61st Malaysia Day, youths were told today to become agents of change, fostering unity to ensure a peaceful and prosperous nation.

National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said in today’s complex world, unity and harmony are crucial for success.

‘After over six decades since Malaysia’s founding, it’s time for the younger generation to embrace and continue the legacy of our beloved country. Malaysia Day is a time to reinforce our unity,’ he said in a statement in conjunction with the 61st Malaysia Day tomorrow.

He said Malaysia’s formation as an independent and sovereign nation was a significant historical milestone that united people from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.

This unity has made Malaysia uniquely rich in cultural diversity, languages, traditions and ethnic backgrounds, with over 80 different ethnic groups.

‘In this diversity lies the strength and beauty that makes Malaysia stand out globally,’ he added.

In this regard, he called on the
people to further ignite the spirit of Malaysia Day with pride and love for the country.

‘Celebrate the day with determination to continue developing Malaysia, maintaining unity and preserving our rich and valuable national identity. Happy 61st Malaysia Day. Malaysia MADANI: Jiwa Merdeka,’ he said.
